OUR STORY

SRT La Trinidad Cooperative began as a vision to empower small farmers and provide them with the tools, training, and community support they need to succeed. Founded on November 21, 2005, it has grown from a micro-cooperative to a medium enterprise, serving the farming communities in the Cordillera region and beyond.

BRIEF HISTORY

The journey of SRT La Trinidad Cooperative started with the establishment of small self-reliant teams (SRTs) under the guidance of Quedan Corporation, a government-owned entity providing collateral-free loans to farmers. Farmers organized themselves into manageable groups and underwent rigorous training to become creditworthy borrowers. Over time, these teams demonstrated their capability to manage resources and loans effectively, leading to the creation of SRT La Trinidad Cooperative in 2005. With a mission to uplift farmers and foster sustainable agriculture, the cooperative has expanded its services, membership, and reach across the Cordillera Administrative Region and beyond.
